Job Vacancy - Network/System Administrator

Due to expansion we require a Networks and Systems Administrator sought to work as part of a small team in a rapidly expanding Sheffield based Internet Service provider.

Skill and Experience Required:

Experience and knowledge in the areas of:

Linux configuration and server management, particularly Red Hat derivatives
Standard open source server packages
Routing protocols and router management (Foundry/Cisco/Procurve/Quagga)
Bash / PHP scripting and development of system admin tools
Experience maintainable software and package management (RPM)
Documenting technical processes Multi-server deployments and techniques of managing multiple machines
Generalising solutions to go from specific examples to reproducible processes/packages
Nagios and SNMP network management tools
Virtualisation with Xen

General Skills Required

Self motivation
Can work under pressure of time limits
Communication skills, particularly in the area of explaining technical things to non-technical people
Must be eager to learn new systems and show initiative to self teach (searching web for solutions).

Qualifications

Good graduate of a reasonable University (interested in ability to learn, rather than specific skills learned at Uni)

This is a full time position. Salary 20 - 24K depending on experience, plus benefits package (subject to conditions). Excellent working conditions in fast moving and friendly environment.
