Start-Up Programme Shortlist Announced
The Class of 2020 Start-Up Programme, powered by ASK4, has unveiled the shortlist of start-ups invited to present at The Class Conference in Milan.
The Class of 2020's Start-Up Programme aims to provide a platform and an extra push for start-ups who are revolutionising student living. Start-ups have been applying to take part throughout the year based on the following criteria:
a team of no more than 25
not raised more than €1000K in funding
up to 5 years old
founded on the European continent
The entrants were whittled down to a shortlist of 4 innovative organisations who have been invited to attend The Class Conference in Milan on 15th November to pitch their start-up to an expert panel.
Based in Spain, the FlatFit app helps students find the right flatmates. FlatFit tells students the percentage of compatibility with their future roommates and helps landlords find their ideal tenants according to their preferences.
Based in the UK, UniZest addresses the problems that international students face in opening bank accounts after they arrive in the UK. Amongst other great features the bank account can be opened before the student arrives in the UK.
The judging panel will be led by ASK4 founder and CEO Jonathan Burrows.
Speaking of the programme, ASK4's Jonathan Burrows commented:
“I founded ASK4 when I was 18 years old. I knew it was either going to be a success or I would have a great story to tell in job interviews. ASK4 is a successful business and we are delighted to be sponsoring The Class of 2020’s Start Up Programme so we can give other young entrepreneurs and big thinkers opportunities and encouragement as they seek to realise their potential.”
