#4C2016 Just Got Real

Last night ASK4 were delighted to host a launch evening for 4Challenge as the riders and crew gathered together for the unveiling of the 2016 kit, and to hear from team from Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity. This year's kit was designed by a Year 10 student from Hinde House School in Shiregreen, Sheffield - Lewis Duffin. The inspiration behind the design was both moving and poignant.

“When we were asked to design the kits, I immediately thought about the times my Mum had told me that Grandad had sat having treatment in Weston Park Hospital playing with his Rubik’s cube. The Rubik’s cube idea not only looks good but it also represents everything fitting together and the numerous ways staff at the hospital went about trying to treat my Grandad’s cancer.”

“Although he didn’t make it, the kit designs are symbolic of all the support and care staff at the hospital gave him and his family during this difficult time - I’m really proud of how my designs have turned out.”

Lewis and his Grandad epitomise why 4Challenge exists and why the riders are taking on hundreds of miles and punishing climbs to support cancer care and research in South Yorkshire.

Please take the time to read the full story here - you will find it both encourages and inspires.
