An 18,000hp Experience
ASK4 recently co-sponsored a social event for the 32nd meeting of the UK Networks Operators’ Forum (UKNOF) at Kelham Island Museum. Featuring beer from Bradfield Brewery, some Henderson's Relish giveaways and a classic Yorkshire pie and pea supper from Little Mesters, it was the venue that stole the show. Managed by the Sheffield Industrial Museums Trust, the Museum stands on a man-made island over 900 years old and is located in one of the city’s oldest industrial districts.
The museum houses one of the most powerful working steam engines in Europe - the mighty River Don. During the evening, our guests were delighted to be treated to the 18,000hp experience as the engine was fired to life – loud but fascinating for a room full of internet buffs!
"Following a very successful evening, I would wholeheartedly recommend Kelham Island Museum as a venue of choice in Sheffield. The team were efficient and friendly. Fantastic". Jon Thornhill, ASK4 Director
