A good understanding of your end users is crucial, both for providing an exceptional service and developing new technologies.

Now providing service to over 150,000 users in the UK and Europe, we take getting to know our customers very seriously. This includes finding out what matters most to the users on our network.

Students At Home

In a recent survey of our student customers, we asked them to tell us about their home Internet service and to describe their usage habits.

Of the thousands who took part we found that:

  • 52% of users identified speed as the most important factor when it came to their home connection (over reliability, coverage and support)
  • YouTube was by far the most popular content service, with 90% of users accessing it daily, followed by Netflix (52%) and Spotify (42%)
  • and the iPhone was the most popular device, with 70% of users owning one - followed by a Windows laptop (53%) and then an iPad (34%)

The detailed results of this survey will contribute to and inform our continued product development for student accommodation, ensuring expectations are met and (where possible) exceeded.
