The World's Most International Universities

Today the Times Higher Education published a list of the 200 most international universities in the world. Measured against the International Outlook indicator, universities were scored taking into account "each institution’s proportion of international staff, proportion of international students and proportion of research papers published with at least one co-author from another country". The UK dominates the list, with 39 UK universities making it into the top 200. Among the 39 are 3 universities who partner with ASK4 - Queen’s University Belfast (24), University of Leicester (72) and University of Birmingham (98).

A World Class Institution

Also listed in the top 1% of global universities, Queen's University Belfast is home to more than 23,000 students, with over 2,200 beds in university operated accommodation. In 2012, Queen’s partnered with ASK4 for the delivery of broadband services in their student accommodation – a service required to match students' expectations for speed, WiFi provision and dedicated support, and the university's global reputation.

Caroline Young, Director of Student Plus at Queen's, commented:

"ASK4’s service supports our continuing growth as a world-class, international university by giving us a competitive advantage in attracting the best calibre of undergraduates, postgraduates and overseas students."

As the university continues to expand, Queen's is actively exploring options for creating up to a further 1,500 student beds in the city. Looking ahead, Assistant Head of Accommodation, Mike Uprichard, noted:

“ASK4’s professionalism, knowledge of the UK Higher Education Sector and expertise in technological advances is extremely beneficial for our future planning and essential to support our development of world class student accommodation.”
