A high quality, seamless managed Internet service for Gramercy Tower

ASK4 delivered a managed WiFi network for Catella and Native Communities, ensuring high-speed, uninterrupted connectivity for residents and operational teams.

Catella is a leading specialist in property investment with a presence in ten geographical markets in Europe. The business offers institutional and professional investors attractive, risk-adjusted returns through two service areas: Property Funds and Asset Management. Seeking a reliable managed service provider, they approached ASK4 to deliver a high-performance connectivity solution for Gramercy Tower, a 188-unit BTR property in Cardiff.

ASK4 was engaged by Catella early in the project, before appointing their chosen operator. Catella received ASK4’s enabling specification alongside our proposal, ensuring alignment from the outset, and Native Communities, the property operators, were brought in at mobilisation.

Catella’s requirements

In an increasingly competitive BTR environment, Catella and Native wished to differentiate Gramercy Tower from neighbouring developments, looking for:

  • A faster, high-quality internet service included within rental costs to provide a competitive edge
  • A pervasive, seamless connectivity service to enhance resident experience and operational efficiency
  • A solution that allowed the operations team to carry out work such as real time inventory updates from anywhere on-site

The ASK4 solution

ASK4’s managed Internet solution aligned perfectly with Catella’s objectives. Not only was ASK4 able to deliver a managed WiFi network ensuring high-speed, uninterrupted connectivity for residents and operational teams, but our prompt response and attentiveness during the early stages set us apart from other providers. Catella’s prior experience with ASK4 in Germany also reassured them of our expertise and service quality.

Agile and adaptable

ASK4 conducted site surveys throughout the construction phase to monitor progress and identify necessary adjustments to the installation. We demonstrated flexibility by swiftly adapting our approach to accommodate any amendments, providing Catella with informed options, helping them make the best decisions for the project. Through continuous engagement and proactive problem-solving, ASK4 worked with the right stakeholders to ensure our deployment of our connectivity solution was live for the first residents of Gramercy Tower.

During mobilisation, ASK4 worked closely with Native Communities to ensure smooth deployment. Regular meetings were held between ASK4, Native and Catella to align expectations and ensure all parties were comfortable with the process.

Native Communities are focused on delivering an exceptional residential experience. ASK4’s pervasive, seamless service plays a crucial role in supporting this vision, enabling residents to fully engage with communal spaces, allowing them to work and socialise on their own private networks anywhere in the building, helping to foster a strong sense of community.

Looking ahead, ASK4’s dedicated account manager will provide regular contact and reporting, ensuring ongoing support and discussions about future requirements or how we can assist with additional sites.

The final impact of the project is yet to be confirmed, but key anticipated benefits include:
